How to find Japan’s top cities
A new report has revealed the top 10 cities in the world, based on the latest census data.
The rankings show that while Tokyo has overtaken the number one spot in terms of population growth in the past five years, it’s not quite as much as people think.
Tokyo is still the fastest-growing city in the U.S., and has surpassed Shanghai in the ranking of fastest- growing cities.
But, as we previously reported, Tokyo has fallen behind in the rankings because of its population growth rate.
The city is now more than halfway through its 2020 population, which was already at its peak in 2013.
The ranking also found that Tokyo has more than double the population of the second-fastest growing city, Shanghai.
It’s followed by Tokyo, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai.
The report by The Economist Intelligence Unit also looked at which cities have the highest or lowest population growth rates, based off data from the 2020 Census, the 2020 Joint Census of the Population, Education, and Housing, and the 2020 U.N. Population Division.
The cities with the highest and lowest population increases were New York City (11.3 percent), Beijing (8.9 percent), San Francisco (7.9, 8.1, 7.9), Tokyo (6.8 percent), Los Angeles (5.6 percent), Tokyo Metropolitan Government (4.9) and Taipei (4 percent).
The U.K., Canada, France and India were also among the top five cities in terms, according to the report.
